We are, honestly, like 98 percent sure that our family is complete. But, occasionally, we ressurect the idea of having one more child (this is a typically a very brief conversation because one, if not both, of the kids start crying and again affirm that "we are so done").

Anyhow, the other day, our whole family was hanging out in the living room. I was sitting next to Millie, who was laying on her boppy, cooing and smiling. Ray was laying down a few feet away and Lola was twirling.

Ray: "Lola, do you want another baby sister or baby brother?"

Lola stops, looks at him curiously and then points at Millie, "Baby sister right there."

Me, thinking I am being helpful: "No, another baby sister or baby brother. So we would have Lola and two babies."

Lola runs from the room. Ray and I exchange confused looks.

She then returns with her baby doll in hand, places her on the floor next to Millie, "There. Two babies."

She smiles proudly.

And returns to twirling.
