The Wesleys find a Christmas tree...

We all went out yesterday to a cut-your-own Christmas tree farm. I had to get a photo for work anyway and I thought it sounded like fun.

They give you a saw, a sled and a map.

Ray was skeptical of the whole thing. And he didn't understand why we just couldn't select one of their pre-cut trees at the entrance.

But I convinced him to at least give it a try.

And, as it turned out, it was a blast.

We got our saw, our sled and a map.

Lola tried the sled out...

But then she decided it would be much more fun to pull the sled herself...

Then we decided Millie should get a ride...

But Lola didn't think she liked it much...

When we came to our grove of trees, Lola wanted us to get a "Lola-sized" tree...

"How 'bout this one?"

But Mommy liked this one...

So Ray got to work...

And, well, the tree was heavy, so he went to put it on the sled, since that is what the sled is for...

But Lola didn't like that much.

"That's my sled, Daddy!"

So it was onto Option B.

"See Daddy, you carry the Christmas tree and Lola'll pull the sled."

Ray was thrilled.

So we got home and started decorating.

I bet you can't tell just how high Lola could reach?!

Priceless.

Oh, and did I mention that we got a new car?

* smile *

The old car at the right, the new (much better) car on the left.

So, yeah, it's been a pretty grand weekend.
