Between a 3 1/2-year old who hates to pause long enough to simply breathe, and a near-10-month-old whose constant smiles completely capture your attention, my focus has been (understandably?) elsewhere.
So, forgive the photo-heavy post, but this is what we've been up to in the last month.
Grandma and Grandpa Orie came to visit! They saved the day for me in more than one way as they took care of the girls while I worked a bunch and also loaned me their car for the day when my brakes decided to kind quit working.
The girls had a blast with them, especially when we all broke out the Easter egg dye.
So then came Easter. We spent the Saturday before Easter day at Grandpa Al's house with my brother and his family. The kids had a blast playing with each other and Lola cried when she had to leave because she wanted to play more.
The kids actually took part in two Easter egg hunts. Our family's hunt at my dad's and then the big city hunt in downtown Nevis. There were 14,000 Easter eggs there that, honestly, were gone in less than two minutes. Funny part? Millie won a bike. Yep. She was entered in the 0-3-year-old bracket and won a little bike. It is super cute.
Other than that, we've been juggling work and home life. And spending as much time outside as possible.
We've been having a ball this spring. I won't say that every single moment is priceless, but they sure are golden. Lola and Millie continue to bond more every day and we feel just lucky enough to be observers.
'Til next time.
